Lauren Tamraz
Lauren Tamraz has considered herself a writer since elementary school, when she began penning sequels to her favorite stories in a spiral notebook. She is a graduate of SUNY New Paltz and Stony Brook University’s School of Professional Development. She also received a scholarship to work with the Southampton Writers Conference. She has taught in grades K-12 and as an adjunct English instructor for SUNY Orange. Along with her writing, Lauren gardens extensively and loves to cook with her own fresh produce and herbs. She is involved with local food movements and farm organizations in her area. She is a vegetarian cohabitating with a meat eater and loves to create meat-free meals and tasty confections from the area's local fruits that couldn't be more delicious for her friends and family. You can follow her farming blog at alchemyfarmhouse. She and her husband live in New York’s Hudson Valley where they can see the mountains from their backyard. A devotee since childhood to all things aquatic, Lauren loves sharks, tacos on the beach, and painting things that swim along with heirloom vegtables she grows at her home, Alchemy Farmhouse.
If you have gardening questions or would like to see Lauren write on a particular gardening topic, you can drop her a message on her blog.
